Oh yeah, finally got this from Runewise! This was my only goal for 2012 - 90+skills - and I got it thanks to the JoT aura. I just missed it when dungeoneering came out (got 90 rcing a few days after), so I am mucho happy to have it.

My bank clearing is nearly complete. I have runes and whips left to sell, then it's trying to find someone willing to take the gold without coming off as a scammer. :P

Mostly because of money issues, I won't be renewing my membership in January. It wouldn't be a big deal, except my account will likely be deleted by the time I can afford to reactivate it again. So I'm going to be liquidating my assets. No point in keeping stuff when it's going to go bye-bye. I'll sell what I can on the GE, then either drop the cash in the party chest or give it away. This is going to happen in January, in case there's a quest I need something for.

In related news, my points came in yesterday and I got the JoT aura. Whoo-hoo, over 7k exp per day in dungeoneering! Much more than actually doing the skill. :P I found out the percentage increases based on my exp rather than level. Nice.

This is for a number of reasons, but the main one is to keep them fresh. We want the hiscores to feature players who will compete with each other, tooth and nail, for hiscore glory. There are many dormant accounts within the hiscores that have not played for a very long time, and this will give new arrivals in Gielinor a shot at hiscore fame alongside the grizzled veterans on equal terms for all."

Well, you learn something new everyday, dontcha? I had no clue that F2Pers were uncompetitive lumps; lesser gamers because they don't hand over their $7.50 (CAD) per month.

"Members only" but "on equal terms"? Does it really surprise me? Not at all. After Mark Gerhard's "only true RuneScapeers are at RuneFest" statement when it was announced anyone going to RuneFest 2010 would be getting their tickets refunded (essentially going for free, aside from travel fare). He, or Jagex as a whole, is screwing over a fair percentage of their game base.

My question is: will all the F2P accounts be eligible to be wiped out so the names can be thrown into the bin for lucky P2Pers? Dibs on Syzygy!

I tried my hand at the Dominion Tower. Mostly fought as a climber, happily strangling reincarnated bosses with my whip. That's pretty much all I'm interested in there. The boss fighting - taking on all dagannoth bosses at once - isn't my stein of beer. My rewards weren't overly noteworthy, though I only fought 5 bosses before calling it quits.

One Piercing Note, however, is just what I want as a quest. Though labeled as short, it took me just over an hour to finish while using a quest guide. I really liked the music. As a follower of Guthix, I helped Anna get a closer view of the desert surrounding the abbey, ala a hard shove out of the bell tower window. Getting my god books illuminated was nice for crafting exp. I wish I had all 6 books, but the pages haven't been selling (or not to me at any rate).

What I've been doing is kicking back and doing bits of skills. Atm, working skills up to the nearest million mark, provided they're anywhere close to it. I'm mad at myself for allowing the lure of the eastern outfit to catch me. When loyalty points came out, I was 250 short of getting the JoT aura, which would help my dungeoneering immensely.

I did 2 slayer tasks on Tuesday. The first, dust devils, I got lucky with the spot I was killing in and was left alone. I decided to try my luck with a second task of gargoyles (after canceling 4 tasks).

What a nightmare.

It reminded me of the first week when summoning was released. 90% of the slayer monsters were camped. After 10 world hops (that's my limit for hopping), I talked to Kuradal and changed tasks, skipping 6 more before landing 180 fire giants.

Now onto penguin points. Either I didn't read it correctly or, more likely, it wasn't clear in the new post, but did you know you could spy this week's penguins twice? Well, I missed out on extra dungeoneering exp, though I did get the 2x and 88 dungeoneering. I didn't bother to try for W60. When I checked, it was full, so I moved to W71. Just be aware of trap springers.

The wicked hood is just that. I've used it twice and love it. It's just what I need for a little bit of runecrafting every day. I messed up the first day, of course. I fed it talismen, then used one of the teleports to the nature altar (the hood acts as a tiara to enter an altar) and learned I hadn't unlocked the pure essence part. So I reread the RS Wiki and found out someone had edited it to be actually helpful. I'd wasted a bit of gold on the talisman when I could've just used an omni talisman/tiara and been done with it. The bit about the elemental talisman wasn't too clear to me, so I killed off a bunch of abyssal walkers until I got the drop, then fed it to the hood. Overboard, I know. The hood works as advertised. I can get my 100 pure ess daily and teleports to all the altars. I've been sticking with nats since I use those the most and getting 10 law runes as well. If I do nothing else during this 3 month membership, the hood was worth it.

TBH, the other reason I became a member again was to get this month's loyalty points in order to buy the Jack of Trades aura. Anything to get dungeoneering up without technically doing any of the skill. Math is not my strong point, but rough calculations put me getting 99 dungeoneering somewhere in 2013 (using JoT aura, TI, ToG and PP), but I'd guess a new skill will be out by then. I am looking forward to getting level 90 just to wear the 90 in All Skills cape.

I did the Halloween event, too. I liked it. Helping Frank and Horses with the rooftop fireworks was by far the best. I like those types of puzzles where I know how things move and not overly complicated (also no move/time limit).

I will not be happy

Firstly, I farmed all those herb seeds I picked up from slayer. I've only kept toadflax, spirit weed and felstalk herbs, the rest were sold for mucho profit. All I have left on the farming front are those morchella spores.

Secondly, I'm fishing in LRC (W88) to rid myself of almost 11k living minerals. Yes, I could've sold them, but, though I dislike being in LRC due to the lagfest it is, I want the fishing and cooking exp. I don't spend a lot of time down there. I pack up about 500 minerals in a go and fish while waiting for my morchellas to grow.

Thirdly, I've just tried out The Pit. The one time my agility cape is useful! I found a scout at the gnome course and found out this guy must be related to Pirate Pete (my aching head). The games are simple, though take getting a rhythm before success. The ones I tried I failed either by running out of time or turns; the falling rocks one I plain got squished! What I think the gorilla mask may be used for is an alternative to the monkey greegree - wear the mask and be safe on Ape Atoll.

Fourthly, I'm working up the effort to take on Branches of Darkmeyer. The difficulty doesn't worry me so much as the motivation. I'm not into getting my quest cape back, so what reason is there to do it? The title? The medallion?

Fifthly, I gave poke on Merch's blog and found out she'd been banned for macroing. From what I could gleen, she was stupid enough to follow a link in an email Jagex supposedly sent her. Honestly, I felt Merch was the one person who *wouldn't* ever fall for that bullshit.

Sixthly, I sniped an enemy's old username. I wonder if he's noticed yet? :P

An unexpected drop while doing a slayer task. I finally had something positive to update on my Runewise achievement list (so many things to uncheck :( ).

Oh, I learned a new sign of who's a bot - only bots use the Abyss to runecraft. Siik Rephase insisted I was one when he killed me in the Wildy. I paid him back, though. I went straight back to the Wildy, called him a chicken and used my corpse to hide my bones. :P

- 2 things for LFM: golden mining outfit and dwarven ancestor bonus exp stack with BEW bonus

I'm about as ready for the upcoming BEW as I can get. I'll be poking about in the LFM, providing Jagex deigns that place BEW compatible, after selling the handful of long bones to Barlak. I really wish Jagex would post a complete list of what is and isn't allowed for the upcoming BEW. I remember doing the circus last time, then finding out it wasn't included anymore. Well, anyway, my list: turn in long bones, no life LFM at long as possible (to 1.1), make potions, craft fire bstaves, runecraft at ZMI.

One thing that did make me happy was the updated RS toolbar. The list of activities is customizable, so I ticked out the ones I don't do. All I have showing up now are bstaves, Bert, kingdom management and ToG.

ION, anyone looking to get a lot of the felstalk seeds and morchella spores, go kill nechs. I got a lot from them this morning - 8and 54 respectively.

I don't read every item Jagex throws out on the homepage. I wasn't interested in getting a 15% discount on membership since Jagex keeps refusing my credit card(s). That meant I had to hear second-hand about the BEW coming up on Sept. 9-12; I'm now glad I went back to the fallen star at Miscellania (where I heard about it).

I intend to take advantage of the fourth BEW, as I did with the last three. Likely mining, if LFM is allowed, since monster areas will be swamped which means no slayer. I'll stockpile my daily battlestaves and the spoils of my queendom (coal and herbs, so be sold when prices are peaking).

Anyone who tells you the LFM is dead needs to hang out with me. The last tenday has given me such a hatred for that place! There is always someone else mining there. You know, that's cool. It's not another miner that burns my butter. It's another miner who is too fucking lazy to find his/her own way to the new 50% outlet. You wanna follow people who don't give a shit? GO TO WORLD 71. I do my damnedest to get away from these remora: world hop, dance (they follow me, I follow them, creating this dance), trick them into mining 100% flow, ignore, but I can't stand it any longer. I can't even come up with words to say why it pisses me off so much.

Now it's another struggle to find the third best mining exp option. I believe it's mining gold at the Keldagrim mine (has gold, addy and runite). >.< If account sharing weren't ethically and rule wrong, I'd beg Marlaine to swap; I wouldn't mind running agility right now.

An open question for anyone who cares to answer:

How do you respond to someone who says you're a botter? Ignore them? Laugh? Try to convince them you aren't?

So, this started at the LFM (lava flow mine) today. I'm digging out the crust and the other guy, ALMIGHTYJATT says out of nowhere, "Haro". I read it as 'hello', but didn't respond because people say shit in the public chat that's meant for clan or friends or another window they have open. A few minutes later, he calls me a bot.

So I said, "Just because I don't talk doesn't make me a bot."

"Well, alot of botters don't talk. And most people bot these days."

"If you think I'm a bot, then report me."

And then he goes into a mini rant about Jagex not doing anything about bots because they support by buying membership (imo, very true).

I understand that botters are more prevalent than ever. I see them constantly during my daily slayer trips. I don't automatically assume the person skilling along side me and not cursed with verbal diarrhea is a bot.

Revenge of not much happening

Today I got 97 slayer. Only 15,585 abyssal demons to go! (If only it were that easy. :P ) I've been toying with the idea of having a drop party, mostly of slayer monster items. I guess it comes down to either making money from my own hard work or letting strangers get the gee pees.

On the mining front, I'm used to the lava flow and head down there on my own. I do have the golden outfit and 2 gilded picks. Another 50 days or so to finish that skill.

My queendom is making a tidy, monthly profit from herbs and coal. Selling all that netted me 4M (gross of 8.5M).

Sorry it's not exciting, but once you get to the high end of skills (especially ones you despise), you'll understand.

Remember when nVIDIA was a good company for video cards? Believe it or not, I got 2 green SoD and my compy had to start from BIOS. Jesus. >.< I've turned my RS settings back to 2006 and will keep away from high traffic areas like LRC, hoping that will help. So I've got to mine at the lava flow which I'm not happy about because it means I have to mine for 2 hours to get the exp I was getting at LRC. I know that it comes across as petty to be complaining about playing a game for 3-5 hours a day. I was looking forward to the gee pees from selling coal and gold ore. Well, it's better than going "old school" with power mining iron/granite.

While I was killing dark beasts, another dude was there and he told me to use turmoil and ppots. I said I didn't need to because I had time. (Isn't that why people use turmoil; to speed up killing?) He then said, "Otp costs absolut** nothing". Wth does otp mean? Overload turmoil prayer? Oh that puss? One true pairing?

ION, the cape front is looking on target. Mining getting finished in 74 days (50k exp per day) and slayer in 84 days (36k exp per day; might speed up with putting lamps/dragonkin lamps, PP and TI into it). I've already picked out where I want to get the final mining level up and the slayer one will likely be at the jade vine.

I pushed myself hard today since I had 174k exp to go to 98. I also had 2 half hour naps in my desk chair, lol.

I signed up to the Loyalty Rewards program, once I found the link lurking under Miscellaneous Guides in the KB. Anyway, I got my 500 starter points and went to Burthorpe to check out the shop. I'm not certain how long the sales are going to last, but I strongly suggest getting the high-priced item you want while it's reduced in cost. I bought the Reverence aura for 400 points and the dervish outfit for 100.

The auras are glitched or something, according to the forums, so take that with a salt block. I'm going to wait to use mine until I've got a slayer task that has me using prayer pots. I can see how a few of them would give an advantage - Runic Accuracy, Sharpshooter, Reverence, Jack of All Trades and Surefooted - the last one is great (no obstacle fail on agility course for 20 minutes) and I'd get it if I wasn't already not failing obstacles.

I'm going to try to get all the emotes and outfits, a title (not sure which one), and Call of the Sea and JoAT auras.

Hot Tip: Next few days would be a great time to make lot of money selling the spare Robin hat.

Note to self: Troll Invasion done on June 26 at 5p.

So I finally got off my butt and signed up with the Imperial Guard. I'm going with the repairing part rather than the ~~Fight Caves~~ troll waves. My time was 6 minutes, which I don't feel is horrible for a first attempt (14,141 exp in dungeoneering for 390 kills). I do wish all my buckets would fill with oil when I click on the well. I got the hang of it mostly, so it's down to working out the strategy. The walls were constantly needing repair and I called up for help 3 times.

I an effigy 2 days ago. The last skill was 97 mining, so I went to see about the cost of a mature dwarven stout. It was 36k for a single pint. I decided to try brewing my own, spending my last POE to buy 2 batches of "The Stuff". I checked Keldagrim and Port Phas breweries and both had normal stout in them. :( Back to buy that pint for 40k just to get 30k exp.

Hey, I forgot I can change graphic settings in RuneScape. I've been moping the last 2 weeks at being unable to work on things for no reason. Anyway, I'm flashing back to 2006 and dealing with trippy teleports. It's not lag per se, just the onboard card unable to deal with the teleport animations. Mining is out. I hung out in the lava flow mine for a few days, doing maths, and came to the realization that the LRC are better for exp (and I want money for the ores). Slayer is semi-okay, depending on the task and number of people around me. Runecraft, to my dismay, is just hunky dory. :/ Well, I'll be putting in a lot of time at ZMI than I want. Squeaking out 3 hours of making runes there every day will get me a cape just as my subscription runs out.

I read it on the ride home last night. It's average for a fantasy book; nothing specially about it. Two things irked me though. The first, which I'm guessing is an editing error, is the misspelling of desired, spelled deSired. Yes, with a capital S in the middle and yes, appearing twice. The second is writing the Wilderness as The Wilderness with 'the' capitalized.

ION, I went to buy a new graphics card (and audio card) and found out the software shop is "closed but reopening soon though we're not quite sure when". I am quite behind with gaming, RuneScape especially, and I don't feel comfortable shoving people off their computers just to get my game on.

I've been using a dragon pick for a while. I only heard the dragon pick was the best to use in LRC, but it seemed that people just went with what everyone else used. I decided to finally compare it to a rune pick and see if it's truly worth the extra 12M.

Mining level for both: 94

Where mining: living rock caverns (LRC)

Time: 61 minutes

Outfit worn: agile top and legs, Ardy 4 cape, ROW, glory, Fally shield 4 and boots of lightness

Lava titan used for both

I went for the gold deposits in the central and southern areas. When they were depleted, I went for the southern coal deposits.

Dragon pick 58,490 exp in 61 minutes

Rune pick: 55,195 exp in 61 minutes

Experience difference: 3,295

Costs: dragon 12.4M / rune 18.9k

Both tests were some of the best mining days I've had. At least one of the gold deposits was mineable for most of the hour.

For me, the dragon pick is just a show piece when using the LRC. The rune pick does just as well and costs a fraction. The only time I've seen a dragon pick be worth the high price is mining for runite.

I got myself 3 of the 5 new capes - level 80 in all skills, veteran and classic capes. The all shit done one is very pretty, but not one that will ever grace my shoulders and the all skills 99 cape will be mine in, oh, 5 1/2 years.

I'm still on the lookout for a skill-friendly clan without many required monthly events.

ION, is anyone who plays Minecraft having a shitload of trouble with it? I'm either lagging horribly or getting the BSOD or both.

Estimates of when I should get 99 mining, rc and slayer if I keep doing what I'm doing.

Mining - August 23 doing an hour a day every day; just down there as long as a lava titan is summoned. Might be much earlier if I get the gumption to no-life train in LRC, usually happens after level 95.

Runecrafting - November 18, doing ZMI for 27k exp. I do about 36 runs or 3 giant pouch degrades.Thinking about about putting peng points in rc instead of dungeoneering. I haven't figured those into the equation though (37,200 exp per week).

Slayer - November 18 with 22k exp a day. Most of the slayer tasks are more than 22k and I love that. I also kill my jade vine and that probably where I'll get 99.

Yes, I'm going for 99 mining and runecrafting along with slayer this year.

Mining is not bad. I mine in LRC for 61 minutes with a lava titan every day. I should have that done in 5 months.

Slayer is on schedule, if not slightly ahead. I have given up on doing any TT after getting ganked during the last one.

Runecrafting is dead boring. I've made attempts to get exp assisting, but no one's biting. Actually, the only assist I see being begged for is 97. So I just run through ZMI until my pouches get repaired 3 times (about 36 runs @ 1872 p ess) or my eyes bleed.

I completed A Clockwork Syringe. I was annoyed that the quests guides I read only said "kill it" about the Barrelchest MKII. RS Wiki was the most useful, telling me to range/halberd from doorways, though every guide gave the impression the special attack is uber dangerous. I didn't notice it at all; my health went from 990 down to 930. I only got hit by the special once (I ran away when it gave its cue), so maybe that helped. I ranged in black dhide with broad bolts and an extreme range pot. The best part is that I'm 500 exp from 81 dungeoneering. Where are those random events now?

Unlocking ice strykewyrms is becoming a bad move. Not that I had plans for those 2k points. I've dumped a lot of money into blood runes to be able to kill them as I like. Most of what they drop, I keep and use. I grow and sell the herbs and the staves of light are nicely profitable just not enough dropped so far to recoup my costs.

I decided to remake the elemental armors I'd sold. I got the crazy idea that we'd eventually need each piece to complete the quest series. Also, I'm tired of having to mine, smelt and prime bars when the next quest comes out. After getting about 20 primed bars, I made the mind helm and went to charge 2 bars for the body body. I followed the steps in the RS Wiki except the tower wasn't getting powered, so I reset my moves which reset the whole puzzle.

I made one RoW to test out. I went to Bork first and got 1 diamond, an extra ruby and emerald, 3 extra crimsons and greens. Not bad, so I may go back to killing Bork daily (I've been avoiding it due to PKers). I went off to do my fire giant task. The above pic is all the loot received after getting the message about better drops (shows in red in chatbox). I like the gems which aren't too whoo-hoo, but 1k air orbs and a dd are sweet. I checked their drop list on RSWiki and so awesome! I will be wearing a RoW during slayer tasks. I'm off to see if it gives me anything "good" from my clue scroll. BRB

Enhanced Excalibur hands down. It's a staple in my slayer arsenal, alongside the gem bag, bone crusher and alch runes. Though I take along bunyips/unicorns, the EE is my main healing. I use it to get to Jad every time, during that barrows trip I got talked into joining, during PP and doing treasure trails.

Did my first clue scroll in a really long time; a level 3 no less with no trips to the Wildy. Color me amazed. I got a court summons that I did and earned a rainbow wig which I'm styling while running agility. Someone called me out, telling me I'm a liar after I said my agility level. He insisted the advanced course needed 95 and I couldn't possibly have 94. *facepalm* I corrected him, though if he believed me I don't know.

A little game I like to play at the barb course is pushing people off the log balance, especially people who get the rope swing ahead of me even though they're 2 people behind me. I don't usually run on the same world because there are always 4-9 people running as well and it's just a pain in the ass on the rope swing.

Slayer is going well so far. I do 1 task a day and that's close to the magical 18k experience. I'm debating a drop part of accumulated items.

Jaxana said something that I totally agree with: "Being efficient usually makes my eyeballs bleed."

The long of it: I've got fire for agility and a set date to finish it. Sixty days from now or April 14th, I'll have that skill done with and another schmexy cape for the house closet. I'm going take a stab at finishing slayer this year, too. All I need is to gain 18,163 xp per day. I'm already killing my jade vine and will throw in a visit to the phoenix lair (not doing Bork or skeletal horror) for 2k xp a day, so another 16k in actual tasks. I'm not sure whether to keep putting penguin points into dungeoneering or change over to slayer. What my plan atm is is* to get dungeoneering to 80, which is 6 more weeks of peng points (providing I can get all 16 each week), then switch over to slayer. As for mining,omg noty. The fastest method is concentrated gold and logging onto W84/77 for that is giving me hives. I haven't found a method that works for me yet.

Firstly, is anyone else getting this pop-up window when on RS Wikia? It's a window that shows up when I try to go away from the Wiki such as closing the tab/window, clicking on a bookmark, etc.. - head and paws can happen in a single drop

- easier to kill with a group (today/tomorrow good if you don't have friends/clan)

When I started RuneScape, I didn't realize f2p and p2p had separate worlds. I thought I could use certain gates on f2p worlds to escape beggars because I was a member. I also thought I could use Camelot teleport to get through those gates when I was strictly f2p. Lastly, I tried using an Unholy book to bless (unbless?) a jug of wine, hoping to make Zamorak wine.

Been caught up doing things for the holidays and dragged into multiplay gaming (Minecraft and DnD), so any time on RuneScape has been a couple hours/day. Dahmaroc statue pieces are pissing me off this week. Still missing mining and cooking though that's about all I've been doing when logged in. I've thought about unretiring Kitt because she's pretty well finished with things aside from working on cape collecting. Then I checked up on her missing capes and they aren't skills I like. :P All the dungeoneering posts from Jaxana and Merch are getting me interested in doing that again, though I remember quickly why I don't like it - monsters too difficult to kill (I don't expect them to be easy, but exhausting resources on a forgotten warrior is ridiculous.) and soloing (the 2 people I did do a dungeon with [they used me for herby poison pots, bastards :P ] have moved on).

So yeah, no posts mean nothing interesting has happened. Just working on doing dailies and saving for dragon armor (chain, skirt, boots, shield 15M iirc). That's mostly for looks and the few quests' combat, so I wonder if I should spend the cash on other skills.

Last Sunday, I dutched up and completed Monkey Madness. I'd put it off for a long time, holding back until I got 50 range for the jungle demon fight. I did get the range level thanks to the circus and had to wait on getting blue dhide and sharks. The dhide bought in an hour, but the sharks were in limbo for three. I didn't want to wait any longer, knowing I'd push it back again if I did, so I hopped into Merch's chat and asked if someone would sell me 60 cooked sharks. Vaskor offered and we met at CW. I thought 60 would be just enough since I thought I'd be getting punched frequently by gorillas and might die.

Amazingly, I only ate three. Two were consumed during the two tunnel runs and one when I got cornered by a scorpion behind the jail. The jungle demon went down like a wilted pansy thanks to protect from magic. When I teleported to the arena, I stood where I'd landed with my prayer turned on while the demon stayed four squares away.

Saturday, I went through Underground Pass twice (once for the quest and once for Regicide) with nary a hitch. I had too much food until I met up with Iban (kept stunning me until I put on protect from magic [which isn't suppose to work]) and only fell off the bridges once.

A trick I read about on the RSWiki for Roving Elves: when fighting a moss giant in Glarial's tomb, first kill a zombie until one drops a sling, then safe spot the moss giant. It totally worked! Took maybe five minutes to kill it with a sling, but so awesome to use a workaround like that.

I'm finished with serious combat training. Working to get enough cash for dragon armor to wear so I don't look like a noob (rune plate, Neit helm, d skirt, d boots).

There are several quests I want to get out of the way, but I've set a goal to be achieved before I'll do them. I suppose it could be considered two goals except they pretty well go hand-in-hand. Underground Pass is waiting patiently. I have all the required skills and I'm confident I can work through that ~~hellhole~~ dungeon a third time. Although one thing makes that quest simpler - 79 combat to kill Kalrag. The combat level is arbitrary; it only keeps Kalrag's minions from constantly injecting me with their venom. The other quest is Monkey Madness, which I hope will be easier a third time around. Being able to wield a dragon scimitar will be sweet and puts the other goal in the limelight - 60 attack. Since combat needs boosted, it makes sense to gain attack levels to raise it.

I'm pretty burned out on combat in general, so it's sliding in favor of non-combat skills. Agility is winning out and you know how much I hate it (sorry Pie). I checked with Tipit's combat calculator which told me getting 60 in attack, strength and defense will get me 79 combat (without raising summoning and prayer). In the back of my head, I keep hearing Simple saying, "Slayer..." and not in an annoying way either. Reading up on the task list, I went to Chaeldar to get going. She's only got a few things I'll Burthorpe if they get assigned. She is my fave slayer master, though Rhonda gets pounded into the dirt a lot (51 hp lol XD).

TL;DR - My goals are 79 combat and 60 attack and I'm doing slayer (yucky) to raise them.

Before I had the teleports and stockpiled money for MTK and daily shop sales, I hunted polar kebbits and farmed cats for money.

The cats take a bit of work, what with rescuing Fluffs' babies and eventually adopting one to become a cat in order to trade for death runes. [Please don't tell Gertrude. I've been lying to her and saying they're in my house and quite happy.] Getting the Ardy 1 cape makes it more than worth the few hours babying a kitten. I'd grow a kitten to cat a day, farm it out to West Ardy and sell off the 200 death runes for around 70k.

When I got bored of being in Catherby, I went out hunting for polar kebbit furs with kitten in tow. The walk/run was nearly deadly (damned unicorns/bear cubs/rock crabs), but worth it. The furs were about 3500 each and I spent a good amount of time filling my inventory (27 plus a space for the kitten/cat). That was nearly 95k.

My favorite charity endurance is on the horizon again. Desert Bus for Hope is making its fourth annual drive with the Loading Ready Run crew at the wheel.

Child's Play helps get toys and games to kids in hospitals.

Desert Bus is the worst video game ever made. It's real time driving a bus (with a veer to the right) at 45 mph from Tuscon, AZ to Las Vegas, NV. The trip lasts eight hours. There is no way to hurry this up either and the controller can not be "fixed" for the veer; a person has to manually correct for it.

The more money that is donated pushes LRR to play for longer. The charity event lasts about six days.

When Kennith's Concerns quest came out, Kennith was extremely creepy and his chat head moreso. The head bobbing makes me want to reach through the monitor and choke the little bastard. Sometime after that quest, all the kids got updated and their facial features are identical to Kennith, including the repetitive, nervous tick.

[You can argue the adults are no different, merely cookie cutters of each other. At least adults grew out of that head bobbing bullshit.]

After getting through the cat/rat quest "serials", I've realized why there is still such a rat problem in West Ardougne: my cats can't catch rats for shit.

To start, Icthlarin helped me not totally desecrate the tomb of Klenter. It's one of those foundation quests that has to be done to get to other quests. It went better than the other times because I didn't have to run to bank for food/potions. RuneHQ saved me there. :D And I kept finding the safe spot by the pit jump (just at the top of the pillar, right-hand side) to keep the mummy from attacking me while I rested. I failed the pit jump often, only succeeding on the initial jumps when I had to leave the pyramid to talk to the high priest. BTW, watch out when you run by the ghost of Klenter because he will beat you up, take some money or both.

That led to helping Bob win Neite; an adventure I really enjoyed. I like having the mouse toy to play with.

Thirdly, Ratcatchers. It's up there for hated quests. Walkthrus make it easy, but it's still time consuming. The only change I noticed was I had to use specifically rat poison on the cheese. Before, I'd used the Draynor manor poison. Someone else and his kitten were in the mansion with me and pwning me with rat catching.

It's pretty cool to be able to understand my cats now. Also, I can finish up a couple medium ADs.

I completed Dragon Slayer last night. Holy crap, Elvarg has been ramped up! She uses her dragonbreath constantly and quickly. I read on the Wiki that it hits with the speed of a whip and I now realize how freaking fast that is. I did use an antifire potion since this was the first time doing this quest as a member (other times have been F2P). When she did hit, it was for a minimum of 70 damage and typically twice in succession. The other thing - once I stepped over the barrier, my prayer points plummeted. I'd compare the drain to what happens when fighting Damis (shadow diamond) during Desert Treasure. I toyed with the idea of using protection prayer, but fortunately I read ahead and decided against it.

Since playing on a new character, I have ran into people who nag me over "thought you quit lol". It's that same crap that happened with Sal's; I never said I quit RuneScape. I said I was not playing on Kitt. I swear, people aren't taught to read in school anymore.

As a new character, I came into RS with no money. I rather enjoy scrounging off the ground and other players. More people are thieving the master farmers in Draynor and dropping seeds which I scoop up and put to my own use. I'm not getting very far with herblore this way, but it's more fun for me. :D

I couldn't wait, so I signed up a new P2P account named Rhonda Snord (which I could not believe wasn't snapped up already lol). I'm having a ton of fun, playing with the low-level stuff I never bothered about.

So, I was going to toss a cabbage in the pot up at the Black Knight fortress and not really worried because I wore guard armor and had cooked sardines when I go through the front door and get a hearty smack in the face by a black knight. :o

Yeah, there's a black knight roaming around the hall between the front door, the secret passageway and the other door you gotta talk your way into. I don't know *when* he showed up or *why*, but BKF quest isn't as easy for low-levels as it used to be. I ended up taking 10 minutes to kill him with the new wind breeze spell. Probably not bad if you've got someone with you to kill him for you.

After spying the penguin in Falador, I was given an urgent message to speak with Sir Tiffy. I ran over to his park bench and received a short, ambiguous mission: sandwich troubles. My mission packet included my trusty Commorb and the Orb of Oculus. Savant was more forthcoming with what I should do - make contact with the Sandwich Lady and use the OOO to peak inside her kitchen.

The quickest method to do this would be to hang out in a random event-free zone for an hour or so, then immediately teleport somewhere. I geared up for slayer and asked Kuradal for a task. Obligingly, she assigned 168 hellhounds and off I went. With the task completed, I used my glory to teleport to Edgeville and got lucky with my first try. The Sandwich Lady appeared and offered a sample of her wares. I selected a tasty breadroll, accepted the gift with purchase she handed over and pretended to step onto the green teleporter. While she turned to walk to her kitchen, I quickly ducked into a crouch and hid beside the bar. I pulled the OOO from my pocket and raised it just above the bar so the camera lens could see inside the kitchen. Savant asked me to upload the images from the OOO to her directly, which I did.

This is when it went pear-shaped.

As soon as I hooked the OOO to the wireless, Java decided to update itself. The stupid pop-up message had no 'close' or 'cancel' option and Savant and I were forced to wait for the update to finish before I could send the images over the network.

My RuneScape ennui is still around. I will say I'm not bored with the game, mostly with the skills I have left to work on. I keep making attempts to talk myself into delving deeper under Daemonheim with little results. I use the bank as a stopping point when I graahk runecraft and that's it. There is always some kind of down time after achieving a 99. You've been in a cycle for days/weeks/months and moving away is hard. Though I didn't like making 15k teak tables for two weeks (with a break in between), I found myself standing in Yanille bank wondering what I'm going to do. The really obvious thing is to upgrade my house now that I can build everything. The down slope is affording everything. I went to RuneHQ and used their POH mapping calculator? to come up with a new layout for the main floor and dungeon. Once I had the plans, I copied them down and listed out all the items to go in each room. I'd set a loose budget of 100M, knowing I'd be getting a demonic throne (25M) and at least one dragon (10M). My rough estimate of the expensive gear - marble blocks, magic stones, dragon(s) - is in the ballpark of 60M. That means it's time for serious money making, going so far as to try this double nat crafting thing the cool kids talk about, along with herb farming and some slayer.

Since I've been figuring out what to do with myself, I felt it was time to give up and make serious attempts at the fight caves. I asked for advice from players who kill Jad on a regular basis and they tell me I should have no problems with anything except the prayer switching. I haven't gotten to Jad yet because of my own stupid mistakes. Finishing the damned KAD is driving me bonkers; very much akin to ME2 which I only left undone for so long because it was moronically difficult. That pushes me forward. What holds me back is knowing I'm very likely to die to Jad and waste 2 hours that I could have been avoiding runecrafting and dungeoneering.

Here's a bot who was trapped in the Yanille pillory for 29 hours (2p Sat - 5p or 6p Sun). I'd love to have been a fly on the wall when s/he checked their program and saw they got nothing for their efforts. :[)

The elite sections of the achievement diaries came out this morning. Seeing the update timer appear freaked me out. "WTH is Jagex doing updating on a Tuesday morning?!?!" o_O I snooped around the RSOF and KB to find out what the tasks were and was bummed to see "Kill Jad" on the KAD list. I've been expecting it since the elite diaries were rumored; Jagex would have us kill a boss of some type and Jad felt for sure since they had us kill a Ket-Zek. The Ket is on wave 32, so the only logical thing tougher would be to complete the fight caves period. I'm honestly surprised we aren't going after the DKs for the Fremmy diary. Anyway, the only tasks I haven't finished are kill Jad and 75 pts from Lapalok. Yeah, I know I don't *have* to kill Jad. It's that I'll have done/do everything in the KAD (and other diaries) except that and it would bother me more to see it unfinished. I wonder how many other players feel like me about Jad?

Other notes about the elite parts: make sure you make the pies, potions, bows, etc. within the limits of the area. I didn't take any chances, especially with the super restore potion; I stood next to Jackie the Fruit when I made it. I despise the agility arena, can you tell? :P The potatoes have to be farmed, not picked from a field. Bork does give double rewards (double cash, 2 rubies, 2 emmies, 2 sapphs, 14 crims, 10 blues and 4 greens) so definitely worth killing him now (you don't need the VAD armor with you).

ION, I had to accept I'll never cross off everything under the Achievements section of Runewise. :( Vaskor added the main boss monsters recently and I'm not much for boss killing.

There are a mega butt tonne of new clothing and color options at Thessalia's shop in Varrock. Oh, and you can be "naked" in game. :P

Here are 3 options for ladies to be "naked". Any stripes from the tops I pretend are body paint and you're wearing a belt. The skin tone is third from the top at the Makeover Mage.

And for the gents:

I cosplayed as Mirror universe Uhura from Star Trek. The sash should be gold, but the stupid thing only comes in purple.

Also of note, there are 3 newish hair styles for ladies. I'm not sure if there are any new ones for the gents.

Whenever I'm doing something mundane and/or noobish, someone will invariably come along and either demand to know wtf I'm doing or make snotty comments. Sunday, I was mining iron outside the Ardy monastery when this guy ran by to his bush. Then he ran down to where I was and said, "Why...". For the clue fest, I killed 3 cows for the bones and hides and get a random demand to "leave da cows alon".

[I know for a fact that I'm not the only "high level" who gets most of her supplies. Marlaine does it; does she get these weirdos ordering an answer to why she's picking seaweed from nets?]

I do regular things. I'm a regular player who doesn't mind getting her hands dirty. I pickpocket guards. I hunt kebbits. I kill unicows and spidines. I mine iron ore. I make my own potions. I craft my own tele tabs. Why should I spend gold pieces on all the little stuff when that money can be better spent on crap I don't want to get (such as god/infinity/barrows armor)?

Ever been slaying or camping a monster and run across these type of people, the ones who have to attack every monster in the room/area? It's as though they're disturbed about monster killing with another person around ...watching.

It's not about being faster than me, or setting up a cannon, or 'lrn2share kkthxbai'. It's about getting me to leave by killing all the monsters before I can. I can be quite content hanging out at one spawn point and waiting. I know it will take longer to finish my task, but at least I'm getting A kill rather than wasting time trying to prove my epenis is bigger than yours.

Effigy abuse

As a person who has the high skills to complete an effigy without asking for assistance, I rather like the 3 I've gotten so far. Yes, I'd rather put that experience into construction, rc, mining and agility, but I'm more concerned about the dragonkin lamp for dungeoneering. I feel pretty lucky to be able to finish an effigy no matter what pops up because I have at least one of the desired skills 97+.

At the beginning, I was firmly in the camp of "I should be able to assist even if I've gotten 30k exp already". I never saw a need to raise the exp limit any higher and I certainly don't need the exp that badly. (If I did, I'd train the skill). Now that effigies have been around a while, I'm seeing and meeting more people who are using them to train skills, akin to penguin points and exp lamps. For that, I'd prefer to stay with the 30k assist limit period; no helping without me getting exp.

Ahh, I love Korasi and her "bash it with a stick" mentality. <3

Two things I'm not happy about concerning this quest. Firstly, "navigating a maze of beer" was advertised and "kick beer barrels around" was delivered. Secondly, the music track, All for the Pest, is still locked after I finished the quest. Is that a glitch or did I skip over something?

I killed the void pest. If only choices like these were implemented into the game.

ION, I was killing dagannoths under the lighthouse because Kuradal thinks I enjoy doing it, when someone mentions my herby cape with the >_> face afterwards. The next thing he says is, "*cough* rich noob *cough*", while showing off a spectral ss! Let me give you a big tip. Just because I wear an herby/summoning/prayer cape doesn't make me rich. Any riches I had were spent getting the damned skills to 99!

I have finished with my runecrafting for an extremely long time. Finally, I reached level 91 which is apparently where the gold pieces come. I haven't figured out how, exactly, that happens when I use the nats I make.

Anyway, I learned a valuable thingy about my alotted bank space. Jagex adds up the F2P and P2P bank space together to get this mystery 516 total. Seeing as I have 2 sets of numbers whenever I open my bank, it bothers me a bit. It didn't used to, but I can't wrap my head around the math.

Lastly, I invented a role-playing game to play when I'm very bored. I get low on life points, then hurry to Morytania. I activate the soul split prayer and attack people, pretending to be a starving vampire. It's most fun when played with the swamp vampires as you can be pushing to dominate the area.

I know why I find dungeoneering such a drag (I can barely get one dungeon cleared before wanting to stab myself with an ice pick ++). Imagine only being able to train crafting by making pottery and jewelry, but after making each item in sequence (pot> pie dish> bowl> plant pot> pot lid> gold> sapphire> emerald> ruby> diamond> dragonstone amulets), you have to start all over again with those blasted clay pots.

With the new resource dungeons out and some of them available for F2P, I cajoled my husband into logging on with, "Get your noob ass on RuneScape. There's shit you need to do." Usually, I'd log on with him to show him since I'm crap with directions when not online. This time, he said he could do it by himself. :o Noob is getting above of his station!

I told him where to go for the first 3 dungeons, advising him to take food in case something happened and he couldn't run away fast enough. Edgeville was quite fun since he learned about the brass key and they lonely building west of the cooking guild.

Karamja was another kettle of fish. He got distracted on the way, determined to make the ship fare by killing goblins near Port Sarim, not because he has no money, but that he was close to leveling up attack, strength* and defense. Once he'd "gathered" enough gold (and runes, bronze arrows and bronze bolts), he paid Seaman Lorris (hee hee, "seaman") and sailed to Karamja. As he tried to get onto the gangplank, he picked up 500 gold pieces laying about on the return ship. Carrying around this kind of money concerned him. I reminded him to just run if he got attacked.

Anyway, he found the hole on the volcano and dropped down into the waiting arms of a skeleton, who wanted to kill him. When he ran far enough away to get the skeleton to shove off, a deadly red spider pounced. When he got away from the arachnids, he found himself in the midst of hungry lesser demons that, unsurprisingly, wanted to use him as elevenses. He staggered into the hidden dungeon with some relief. The lessers in there were some distance away, giving the impression of safety, or just long enough to use the ring of kinship teleport.

The demons ...well, had other ideas.

By the time he'd escaped the walking deaths and scarpered up the rope, he was sitting at half health and shooting me dirty looks.

*He never did get that strength level. He spent the next two hours chipping away at one coal rock in the dwarf mine resource dungeon (the one with silver, coal and mithril).

Sine the countdown of my membership going, I've been slogging away at the pure essence in my bank. I told myself, "Just 1k a day. Takes, what, an hour at ZMI? I can stand an hour running the hellhole that is W70 ZMI". Eventually, the people training there broke me. I couldn't take the herd mentality and being a free taxi anymore. I decided to try ZMI on another world, wanting to know how much I'd get beaten by the Zamorakians roaming the tunnel.

It's quite all right. Oh yes, 99 defense and magic help a lot and I don't get hurt that much. So I'm running ZMI on my own world, contented knowing no one is waiting to shackle onto my ass like a patient barnacle.

I didn't notice until I rechecked my maths.

I'd been clocking out 3k pure essence a day.

For a whole week without realizing it.

And I'm not insane yet.
